It's been four years since the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster in northeastern Japan, but the road to recovery continues. For example, over 30% of children in the region suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) according to a Japanese health ministry survey.
At the film screening, you will have an opportunity to donate to the Taylor Anderson Memorial Foundation, benefiting kids and families in Tohoku through a range of education and family support programs. Even better, GlobalGiving will match your donation, doubling its impact!

You will also learn about the work that the Foundation is doing and hear updates on the recovery efforts and ongoing needs in Tohoku.

If you cannot attend, please donate below or here:http://goto.gg/f/8904. You can also donate via your mobile phone by texting "GIVE 16414" to 80088 to donate $10. All donations made on March 10 will be matched by GlobalGiving.

Taylor Anderson was a Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program teacher in Ishinomaki, Japan when she lost her life in the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The Taylor Anderson Memorial Foundation helps students, schools, and families in the Ishinomaki and general Tohoku area recover from the disaster as Taylor's family expects she would have wanted. The Foundation pursues Taylor's dream of being a bridge between the U.S. and Japan.
